Nature’s Ebb and Flow
My art work, in its fullness, expresses nature’s ebb and flow
I was project managing our major renovation when the lockdown came. As we all lived through the shutdown, shut-in and shut out here on the border, remodelling the house become more of a challenge.
I think this made me value the great outdoors more than ever. In the middle of the mess I started painting. It was a wonderful distraction and the work men were intrigued to see each stage of the process.
As my hand was gliding across the paper it felt like the ebb andflow of nature. Using pen and ink, watercolour and acrylic mediums, these abstract forms was created in an intuitively with no thought, structure or constraints except the size of my paper. I had no idea where it was going or what it would end up being. It had a life of its own, yet I wholesomely trusted the creative process. This was such a free and liberating experience to let go and let the natural creative energy flow.
All my art works have been framed by Finer Frames, in Wodonga, to meet conservation standards.
I suppose the joy in my spirit is inspired by nature in all its forms and that insight comes through my artwork and in its fullness, expressing Nature’s Ebb and Flow.
